Kirby’s Beach House is located in the village of Berrara
It’s located on the South Coast of NSW, in a region known as the Shoalhaven. The Shoalhaven, has 49 towns and villages, 109 beaches and hundreds of thousands of hectares of National Parks and State Forests.
Berrara, an Aboriginal word meaning ‘snapper’ is a small community of 600 that extends for 2 km along the coast between the southern shores and inlet of Swan Lake and the bluffs above Berrara Creek. The community is bordered by three beaches. Known for it’s natural attractions, it lies within the Conjola National Park, boasting three water ways; a lake, a creek and the ocean. Swan Lake is a popular for sailing and water skiing, while Berrara Creek and Lagoon is ideal for fishing, kayaking and fresh water swimming, the best beach for swimming is the sheltered northern beach while the best for surfing is off Conneley’s Reef at the lake mouth.
A quaint seaside cafe offers all the essentials, a quick cappuccino or fabulous cooked breakfast and lunch. Sussex Inlet is a 6 minute drive which offers all the urban amenities: Indoor Pool, Cinema, Micro Brewery and Restaurant, RSL Club, Sailing Club & Boat/Fishing Tackle Hire, Bike Tracks, Bakery, a Growers Market, Supermarket, Pharmacy, Doctors, Physio, Hairdressers, Hardware and many more!

Via train, take the South Coast Line from any major Sydney railway station or Central to Nowra and a bus will connect from Nowra to Sussex Inlet & Berrara via route #735 Rail map information
